There is a button for this on the "personal" tab of the "Edit my profile" page.
Premium users can not delete their account until their premium is canceled and their premium time has expired. This is to ensure that you receive worth the premium time you have paid for. |

If you are unsure about the reason for your permanent ban from Camamba, or think that this has happened in error, please contact us with all information you may have about the issue.
We will then investigate your permanent ban. We will then contact you, if the we find any problem with the ban or if the reason might not be obvious to you.

Our confirmation e-mails are sent instantly. Some large providers, most notably Hotmail and Yahoo, do not support an open Internet, often only accepting mails from commercial senders registered with them. They routinely reject e-mails without the recipients knowledge.
If you did not receive the e-mail in a timely manner and it is not in your spam folder, contact your e-mail provider. |

Then log into your room with your password here: http://www.camamba.com/admin.php
The "room" is your sites domain name without the "www." part, unless you changed that in the script. |

Moderators are recruited from our regulars. Being a moderator is often a thankless task and can be very trying at times. When we feel someone is fit for the job, we approach them and ask for their help. |

Either the chat client could not communicated with the websites authentication service or your login has been refused.
The most common reason for this is an active ban, but it can also be caused by network issues.
Please also make sure that your PC clock is set to the correct time. If your clock is off by several hours, synchronization may fail.

The chat uses the Flash RTMP protocol. Please configure your firewall to allow connections on Port 1935.
By Adobe specifications the Flash Player should also try to connect through firewalls using RTMPT or RTMPS on port 80 and 443. While we support these protocols, we could not confirm that behavior of the flash player, so we do not know to which capacity firewalled connections are supported. |

Unfortunately there is a bug with flash and some browsers and operating systems. If you cannot click the dialog, use the flash settings manager to allow or deny access to your camera for Camamba.
(Go to "Website Privacy Settings", find "www.camamba.com" in the list and set the permissions accordingly.)

This response from our system means you have been permanently banned. If you believe this was in error, you may contact us and appeal the ban.
If you are guilty of one of the following, we will not reinstate your account:
- Creation of "fake" accounts with a false gender.
- Repeated temporary bans for the same reason witnessed by several moderators.
- Publishing any type of adult or mature content outside the designated rooms.

An ordinary ban lasts three hours. However in cases of severe misconduct moderators have the option to issue a much longer ban.

When you sign up, you receive an e-mail with a confirmation link to activate your account. Until you have done that, your account cannot be logged in.
If you did not receive such an e-mail, please also check your spam folder. If all else fails, create a new account and double check that you have entered your e-mail address correctly.
Some ISPs, most notably AOL, Hotmail, and Yahoo, will refuse or delay automatically generated e-mails from high volume servers. We have tried to work with those providers to resolve the issues, by they were not interested. GoogleMail does not have such issues. |

Many of you have enjoyed the free login as a way to chat anonymously with others.
Unfortunately there have been a select few, who have abused this privilege.
Despite our best efforts to block repeated offenders from the free login, this abuse was so severe in some cases, that we can no longer take the responsibility for it.
We feel that those, who volunteer a minimum of personal information to have a good time on Camamba, deserve our protection at the cost of the anonymous guests.
If you have used the guest login to chat on Camamba, there is no reason not to create an account. The information you have to provide is minimal and will never be disclosed.

The editor has a little flash icon, where you can insert Adobe Flash content. Unfortunately YouTube likes to change it's embed and URL formats regularly.
The URL to enter must look like this:
http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO_ID
The VIDEO_ID is visible in all YouTube links in one way or another. For example, this regular YouTube URL

Contains the video ID after the v= part; for this video the embed link looks like this:

If you want your videos to play automatically without the need to push the play button, you can append ?autoplay=1. Like this:

Camamba premium access is a monthly recurring subscription. If you do not wish to use a premium account anymore, please cancel your premium subscription at the corresponding billing partner. |

Why are some features premium? And which premium features can be gained for free through levels? |

There are three types of premium features:
1. Those which actually cost more money to maintain and cannot be supported through ads. These are the chat related premium features, like room limit and video quality.
2. Things which only serve the purpose of getting noticed. They only work, if used in moderation, and as such must be limited to a few people. They are our way of saying "thank you" to premium subscribers.
3. Features, which can be abused in annoying ways. Due to the open nature of the site, we needed ways to limit access to them.
In addition to being available to premium users, we've now started to open access to them for regulars limited by level.
These are:
- Since private chat messages have been abused for harrassment plenty in the past, you must be at least level 5 to initiate private conversations. You may of course always respond.
- To create a new bloc you need at least level 10, which hopefully will slightly reduce the amount of completely pointless blocs.
- Guestbook: a pretty spammable thing. Emoticons become available at level 3, because their amount is limited. Individual messages can be sent level 15 and up, video messages are premium only.
- On-Site Mail: Obviousy a good tool to spam and annoy the crap out of people. If you survived the ban-hammer up to level 20 (approx. 4 months), you may sent on-site mail to anyone without premium. Before that you may sent mails to people you have a mutual friendship with.
- Events: We wanted events to mean something, and not being the flood of "I just farted" messages such features usually become. As such there is a cool down timer between posting events and access is limited. When reaching level 30, you're close to owning the site, and as such can also publish an event every 4 hours.
The features becoming available by leveling and the required levels are subject to change. Some of these features are also available within mutual friendships, like mail and guestbook messages. |
